Sony Xperia Z1 is one of the best camera smartphone you have ever seen. This latest flagship device of Sony come with stunning 20.7 megapixel camera. The default camera app itself provides numerous styles and effects that you have never seen before.
Few days ago Sony made a new camera app available on Play Store only for Xperia Z1 called Motion Shot. This app basically collects a series of images, or in this case, frames from a short movie clip, and combines them into a single image showing the target multiple times at different places in various stages of movement. It simply takes a maximum 8 seconds video, then processes on this video by editing and applying few effects and finally saves as an image file. And the best part is this Motion Shot app is absolutely free for download from Google Play Store.
But sadly it is compatible only for Xperia Z1. It may happen in future that Sony will make this app available for other Xperia devices. But what about other Android devices? Well, don’t get upset because one of the XDA member xperiaz2 has ported this Motion Shot camera app to all other Android devices.
The ported app is reported to be stable and working without issues for all the Xperia devices and some other Android devices as well.
- This Motion Shot app compatible only for Android 4.0 or above. It means majority of latest devices will able to run this app. Unfortunately it does not support older Android versions.
- Another thing that you should keep in mind is it does require at least 500 MB of free space on your phone in order to run it.
- Download the latest version of Motion Shot app from official development page. Install this like usual apk file. Just make sure that you have ticked Unknown sources option in security settings that allows installation of app from sources other than Play Store.
- Latest MotionShot 1.1.5.apk
