First flash & root Stock ICS / JB firmware (JB preferably) via Odin and then you can install CWM, CM11 or whatever Custom ROM you want.
Is there any possibility to get back to android 2.3.5 on I9100G from android 4.2.2 custom ROM. Please tell me how???
Yes it is possible. If you follow this procedure you will be returned ICS.Same way you can flash 2.3.5 file.
From where i can get setup for v2.3.4 (Gingerbread) for Samsung GT-I9100G…
Hello, I am in Nigeria. I use sgs2 with android 2.3.5 and stockROM XWK18. Suddenly the phone stopped recognising my sim and displayed a circle with diagonal line. Research through the internet suggested that I do factory reset and I did but the signal did not come back. Someone suggested rooting and GSll repair but that could neither work. Then I flashed XXLPQ and it is now showing android 4.0.3 instead of the initial 2.3.5 but yet there is “no service” displayed on the phone. Now, I can’t even root again let alone try to get the network signal. Please someone help.
How do I get my phone working is the question, it has been stuck on the startup screen since I pressed reboot. Thank you 🙂
You can use this guide (for JB): https://www.androidlegend.com/upgrade-samsung-galaxy-s2-i9100g-to-android-4-1-2-xxlsr-jelly-bean-firmware/
(for ICS): https://www.androidlegend.com/update-samsung-galaxy-sii-i9100g-with-official-ics-4-0-3-xxlpq/
Also can I use this procedure without going back to stock? Remember I’m stuck on the startup screen and it won’t do the 3 button trick..
All things are written in the procedure. Just follow them & you’ll able to root your phone…
Thank you! These instructions worked for me.. only difference is that I stuck to using Odin v 1.85 (as the download link posted in this article didn’t look like the Odin in your screenshot .. but my 1.85 looked the same as yours).
Was happy that your article also did not recommend or force us to wipe the data/do a factory reset like some other articles.
By the way, for my Samsung S2 GT-i9100G, to boot to Recovery Mode, the instructions are: shut off the phone, hold the Volume Up button and the Home/Menu button and then at the same time, press the Power button. Once the Samsung logo appears, you can let everything go and Recovery Mode will appear. I just followed this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1m-7Z8vvrg
