hi,
i own I9001. rooted and with CWM recovery.
can the version of recovery affect the flashing of the ROM??? or does every RO/m hav a specified verision of CWM that it can be flashed in??
while flasing new ROm, is it necessary to perform factory reset? or wipe data??
if we have to wipe data then the saved ROM will also be erased?? and the recovery installation?? will have to flash it again?
pls reply
i was thinking of flashing this – RootBox-JB-ariesve-Unofficial-20130626.zip – will the performance be better…. coz rite now the phone gives a long lag while toggling simple apps like contacts – SMS – call log.
i want a smooth and quick phone…. pls advice
Latest CWM version(v6) works for any ROM. It is necessary to wipe data else ROM doesn’t work properly. It wipes data on the internal memory only like all apps, contacts, SMS etc.
