sucessfully unlocked bootloader however unable to power on the phone in recovery mode using the key volume up and no led flash comes during powering for recovery mode. please help!!

  • Undenius

Hi Guys, I have done everything according to the instruction. But I get FAILED (remote: oem unlock failed!)
The only thing I found was that my IMEI Code was 15 characters instead of 14. So i removed the last character.
I have tried it several times but still the same problem.
    Then I run the “fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version” get 0.5

    • swapnil

enter unlock key all letters in capital format.

  • Priyansh Trivedi

I confirm that the above process works almost flawlessly and is infact one of the easiest guides around for the process. The only problem that may occur to you (mostly for Win7 users) is that the phone does not stay in fastboot mode for more than 5 seconds.
    Workaround :  post#99.

    Thanks a ton Viraj!

    • Viraj SK

      You’re always welcome..
